20 entries for this category: I will say yes, Jesus believed that lowly people are valuable. It is evidenced by his love expressed towards children, the sinners. Also through the statement that he made in favour of the poor widow offering the book of Mark 12, he encouraged the widow by valuing what she gave. Jesus valued the people from different cultures or tribes, who were at that time considered inferior or diferent and not to be associated with. He valued the woman of samaria by asking her for a drink. Jesus was ready to drink from her vessel. To the question how valuable? i will say lowly people are valuable as human beings, and people who need special attention, and also as heirs of the kingdom of God. I can say that Jesus does not attached so much consideration to our height, financial power, or culture. He just want us to be saved as his creatures and children of God. He want the well being of all of us with no distinction of classes. People have the perception that christians should not think about riches or acquiring more to be comfortable and be of help to others.
How do riches, or poverty affect our relationship with God? Do the poor really give more? cant the poor become more productive in order to give more to the kingdom?
how should christians see money?
